The one word I think of when I think about this book is sweet meaning sentimental and unrealistic: a sweet painting of little kittens.
Madison is a Artist who has lost her ability to paint because of the devastating loss of her Father. Her Mother who wants to build another location to her business hires Aidan to build the building for her. She asks Madison to be the person of contact should he need anything.
Aidan and Madison met briefly before, as they have mutual friends. He wonders if she will remember him she does. They flirt a bit nothing hot and heavy. When she meets Aidan she is inspired to paint again just in their brief meeting.
Madison is having trouble letting go of the pain that consumes her life because of her fathers death.
Then something traumatic happens to Madison and Aidan is there to help her. Aidan is a considerate, kind and understanding. As you can imagine Aidan is there to help her through her new tragedy. This was a very sweet story and I would definitely recommend it to people who like sweet stories. Where the guy is to good to be true. Aidan's only flaw was his book keeping. (lol)
There were parts of the book that could have been better , like how Madison ended up at Aidan's house. I know that this is a work of fiction but when I read a book I want to be so engrossed in it and believe it so much that if the author said " She fell in love with a three headed monster with one arm" I totally believe it. This was not the case with this book. To me it just felt like it took a while to get the story rolling and once it started rolling it was just blah. I also would have like to see Madison to be stronger than she was. I just felt like once she saw him all of healing started. Like I said before it is a very sweet read. The sex was sweet, everything about this book was nice and sweet. If you like sweet then you will simply like this book. If you like books with more believable characters and a little bit more sex and action then leave this book alone.
